Borussia Dortmund could revive their interest in Southampton defender Armel Bella-Kotchap this summer, with a deal seen as sensible for everyone.

Ruhr 24 cover the player today and how Southampton potentially putting Bella-Kotchap back on the market may have sparked Borussia Dortmund's interest once again.

They report that the defender is 'probably about to change' clubs in the summer and that means he 'could be interesting again' for Dortmund.

They were interested in him in the summer transfer window but couldn't get a deal done. That's not stopped him from being a player that the Champions League finalists have an interest in.

Indeed, he fits the profile of player they're looking for well thanks to the fact he's only 22-years-old and has a 'flexibility' in terms of his ability to play in various positions in defence.

He is also seen as affordable as he is believed to have a price tag of around €20m, something the Germans could definitely afford.

They only didn't really push the move over the line in the summer as they elected to invest in their forward line rather than defence. The defender ultimately ended up at PSV Eindhoven but is expected to return to Southampton this summer.

They in turn are expected to put him back on the market and a move is seen as increasingly logical for Dortmund, who may have to replace Mats Hummels, whose contract is set to expire.
