Marc Albrighton (34), made enough appearances (11) this season to be a medalist again, winning his fourth title during his 10 year relationship with the club. His contribution over the period has been brilliant.

His start was a bit troubled, but when he got to play and got a chance, he took it and became a very important member of “The Great Escape” and “5000/1”. He has in total played 312 official games for Leicester, scored 19 goals.

This season he has been on the fringe and played frequently, but contributed and shown his professional attitude as a role model of a footballer we all would like to see. Understanding his role, being committed and supporting, as his presence of course will be missed, but we do believe he will leave the club with his contract up after this season.

Recent reports suggest that Marc Albrighton will continue to play, and move to a lower league club. Burton Albion, Solihull Moors and Mansfield Town are mentioned as possible new destinations, all clubs in the close area of his home, and clubs possibly looking for experienced professionals with certain and special values.

Solihull Moors are progressing and on the 6th of May playing that play-off final vs. Bromley at Wembley. The winner will be playing in EFL League Two next season. Their manager is former Coventry and Brighton defender Andy Whing (39), who is one to understand the importance of role models in a team moving up the ladder. Tyrese Shade (loan from Swindon) and Richard Stearman are both players on the books at Damson Park.

As we earlier mentioned it would of course have been fantastic to have Marc Albrighton in a role and part of the U.21 set up at Leicester next season, but that looks a low priority if a EFL club comes in for him and would add him to a plan of progress.
