Fabrizio Romano has just revealed what could happen with Omari Hutchinson at Chelsea next season.

Chelsea signed Hutchinson from Arsenal during the summer of 2022 and it was seen as a real coup.

Fast forward two seasons on and the former Gunners academy star is regarded as one of the most exciting youngsters at Cobham.

The 2003-born wide player spent this season on loan at high-flying Ipswich Town, who secured a remarkable promotion to the Premier League.

Hutchinson was unplayable at times for The Tractor Boys and netted 11 goals whilst laying on six assists across 50 appearances.

He was crowned the club’s Young Player of the Season and many Blues fans have wondered if he’ll remain at Stamford Bridge this summer.

Fabrizio Romano reveals Omari Hutchinson is set for talks

Romano, the transfer specialist, took to X on Wednesday morning and shared an update on Hutchinson’s Chelsea future.

It’s his understanding that the club are set to hold talks with the 20-year-old to discuss his future at the club.

Another loan is a ‘concrete possibility’ as interest from Premier League and Bundesliga clubs mounts ahead of the summer transfer window.

Ipswich remain hopeful that they can keep him at Portman Road and that is thought to be Hutchison’s desire too.

Omari Hutchinson wants to stay at Ipswich Town

Following Ipswich’s final-day win against Huddersfield Town, Hutchinson was asked if he wanted to remain at the club.

“I hope so. I don’t know,” he replied.

“I’ll have to see what my agent is saying and what the manager is saying and then go from there. I don’t know. I just want to celebrate at the moment.”
